As the world continues to return to any level of “normal,” somehow the troubles of the supply chain have lingered longer than anyone could have imagined. As COVID crippled the world last year, sports were shut down entirely along with production facilities and warehouses leaving dealers scrambling for sports equipment and apparel for their customers this year. Coupled with shortages of shipping containers, shipping channel interruptions and severe labor shortages which have intensified this issue, we have learned to use our long term relationships with our suppliers to help us navigate the challenges we are facing with merchandise shortages.
In the last year, we have seen a considerable desire for parents to have their kids back to participating in sports again for the comradery, exercise and mental health. If we learned anything during quarantine, mental health is essential for kids and adults alike. In addition, sports continue to be a resource for self-esteem and a sense of community.
